SecutorPrime Pro for MS SQL Configuration?

Postby dljungling » Thu Feb 05, 2009 1:32 pm

Hey Guys, I noticed in the literature for SecPrime that you reference SCAP as a basis for building the scans. I cannot find a SQL option for scanning in SecPrime. Am I missing something? Thanks! Darren

Hi Darren.

I'm not quite certain from your description what it is you are trying to do, but it sounds like you want to use Secutor Prime to do a compliance assessment on an MS SQL Server installation.

Currently there is no XCCDF benchmark available for SQL Server, not even in beta:

http://nvd.nist.gov/ncp.cfm?scap

There are a couple of CIS MS SQL Server checklists:

http://nvd.nist.gov/ncp.cfm?prod_category

but those are not in SCAP format and have not yet been updated to work with SCAP-validated tools.

If you are looking for how to resolve references as part of converting one of these older checklists to SCAP, let us know what you are trying to do and we'll help you out.
